2019 New year's resolutions
If youre like most people, you look at the new year as an opprotunity to better yourself and set a new year's resolution. Unfortunately though most people fail to keep them!
This is due to setting to big of goals and not feeling the rewards for your efforts! So here are my tips for crushing your goals and reaping the rewards of your Success!
How to set manageable goals.
First consider what you want to achieve, and then commit to it. Set goals that motivate you and write them down to make them feel tangible. Make these goals Specific, Attainable, Measurable, and Relevant. Then plan the steps you need to take to realize your goal, and cross off each one as you go!
Rebooting your Diet
When it comes to cleaning up your eating, take a tip from us past Girl Guides: Be prepared. If you want to rise above temptation, like a yummy spread at a party, or an open bar at a wedding, you have to think one step ahead. It also helps to have no-deprivation strategies. Eating is often associated with misery, so it's no wonder that so many people throw in the towel. Before starting this journey, apply these tips!
Figure out your "WHY"
Don't focus on subtracting "bad" foods, focus on adding good foods!
Do a kitchen cleanse
Plan for your cravings/snack attack! (have a healthy substitution at the ready!)

Rebooting your Workout!
Get-in-shape goals tend to flop as early as the third week of January. Yet some keep at it. What's their secret? People who are successful are more likely to view fitness as a permanent lifestyle change, not an activity they can give up once they reach a number on the scale. With fitness you can always raise the stakes! So make lots of shorter steps and goals on the route to a big one! Here are my tips to your best fitness resolution!
Take it one week at a time
Raise the stakes
Join a group class or Sign up series! (this is will keep you accountable!)
Keep it FRESH - Switch up your workouts every 4-6 weeks
Rebooting your Energy and Stress Reduction
One of the hardest parts about stress reduction resolutions if that they are so vague. You can't just vow to be more relaxed and expect it to happen, you need to be more specific. Since we can't just quit our jobs and hightail it to a peaceful island where you are completely taken care of, we need to learn tools and tricks that work well for us! Now, everyone is different and has different needs so be sure to apply and try out all sorts of different things! Here are some of my tips!
Say NO to something every week - Stop over extending yourself!
Meditation - Meditation can be as simple as taking 10 mindful breathes.
Exercise! - Connect your mind, body, and soul, release endorphins and fight stress!
Get 8 hours of sleep
Drink 0.75-1.0 oz of water per lb. (eg 140 lbs x 0.75 = 105 oz of water per day)

My 2019 New Year's Resolution is to work more efficiently so I can spend more time playing, working out, and spending time with my loved ones!
The steps i'm taking to do it is by creating my content and scheduling my posts ahead of time. I'm going to set up blocks of time during my work week to focus on my content. One of the big reasons for this is because Its become very easy to make a post and then spend the next 10 minutes scrolling through social media, and that's 10 minutes I could use to relax between classes, making myself a healthier meal, or hanging out with my dog!
