My Goals for 2020!

Before I start I just wanted to wish you all a very happy new year and hope that each and every one of you has some great new goals yourself to work towards!!! Let me know what they are and we can help hold each other accountable! I like to make my goals only 3 months long in order to give myself a quick deadline. This means I have to work hard everyday and cant procrastinate or make excuses!

I also like to have 3 different goals.

A personal goal

A career goal.

An impact goal.

My personal goal for the first quarter of 2020 is to get into the best shape, mentally and physically or my life (so far).

So Before I go on into this, some of you may be rolling your eyes at me and thinking things like “but she is so skinny already” or “she is already fit”. I would like to say that I do not mean to lose weight exactly. I want to work hard on my flexibility, lower my body fat %, and add some muscle mass. I also want to clean up my diet and make sure I’m sleeping properly, because,s as some of you may know, I’ve been catching EVERY SINGLE COLD and FLU this year! So I need some real-time and attention focused on my health and I would like support on this journey, but I assure you that I am not trying “to get skinny” and do not have a body image problem!

To keep myself accountable on this journey, I am partnering up with POP FLEX and using their 12-week fit journal to log my meals, sleep, workouts, mood, and more! My career goal is to NETWORK NETWORK NETWORK.

As you guys know, I am quite the introvert and I tend to lean towards waiting for people to approach me with their questions, rather than approach them and start a conversation. So for the first 3 months of the new year I am making it my goal to start that conversation in my community. This means chatting to everyone from physiotherapists to the many local artisans in the beautiful Okanagan.

My Impact goal is to give back to environmental causes.

This means to be less wasteful, to shop local, and to make smart purchases. My first smart purchase, which actually happened before the new year, but means a lot to me, is my glasses. I recently purchased new glasses, they are made out of 100% recycled plastic and a portion of the cost gets donated back to ocean clean up. Ocean clean up is an incredibly important cause to me, and I absolutely LOVE these glasses, so if you’re in the market for new frames, please check out
